Hi, I've been wondering whats "happends" if I decides to smoke it without filter or filter substitute (the black tube)? Might sound like a strange question, but I am curious why they have these tubes for substitute the filters; Why "can't" I smoke my filter pipe without anything at all?

I smoke mine without the tube. I like the open draw. The tube is not really a filter in the sense that it doesn't filter out tars. It's used to control the draw. Try using a Savinelli Balsa Filter for a more traditional filter.

Pure preference. If you like the open draw without the adaptor, that's the way to go. If you prefer the adaptor, you can use that. I don't find the adaptor restrictive, and it will take a pipe cleaner, so that's my choice. The adaptor will also work in Dr. Grabow pipes, FYI.

I smoke mine without, and you can always adjust the draw with how tight the tobacco is packed.

One thing I noticed though is that I tend to get more char in my stem when I'm not using my tube. This may be placebo and I know a bit of The char get stuck in the tube
