Title edited. See rule 9.

I just recently picked up a pipe that looks almost exactly like the one in this thread, excepting the stem is different.

I found that it seems to smoke better than any pipe I've tried so far and I'd like to acquire more in this line, and even same shape. I really like it.

Any assistance on locating would be appreciated. I've done some internet searching and can't find any available right now in exactly what I want. I did see a couple dry system pipes left on tobaccopipes but I'd prefer the different bowl shape if I can find any.

Thanks in advance.
Cheers

LOL - 2320...and you don't want to know what I paid for it ;)
I can imagine ... but i can't complain I got a 1960's Savinelli Erica Fiamma 128 (Jubilee D'Oro second) unsmoked for a third of the 1960s price so I am in no position to gripe about anyone else's deal of the century !!! Congrats again ! :col::ROFLMAO:

Someone on this site said Savinelli stopped using the 4 digit model numbers in the mid 60's and went to 3 digit model numbers. Therefore, if you want the same vintage pipe you need to search estates or for NOS :
www.wesleys.co.za/Savinellidry.htm.

Good Luck.
Thanks, that's good to know, I would love to find out the age of this pipe. I've been wanting a birth year pipe and it would be very cool if this were one.

(BTW, I never got any notifications that anyone replied to this question... wonder what I did wrong)

(BTW response: I think you need to check your settings on this site to activate/select notifications but be warned it fills up your e-mail inbox ! ) I don't think you can discover a specific year unless hallmarked like Peterson; decade at best. It is what you say it is ! We won't tell. ;)

Thanks.
I turned off the email notifications, they were too voluminous. But I'm usually getting a little # above the bell for notifications - this thread - none.

I did another search and found a few 621 dry systems now, don't know why I couldn't see any before. But truly, this one in hand is gorgeous; and in fact DOES have the same stem with some red swirls in it as the one I linked to originally...
