+1 on that shape! I'm thinking about adding an author to my collection when I visit Blakemar Pipes in May. Trouble is, I like most pipe shapes and I have yet to win the lottery!

Author is an under-rated and too little produced shape. I think it has a lot of grace

and style, and usually plenty of bowl. Now and then, Peterson does these, and I was

fortunate to get one. It's rusticated and has a nice nickel band. I love the stout

build on your Sav and its ornate band. You'll have some good hours (and hours)

with this one. I just ordered a Luciano author that popped up at SMC, smooth.

The Sav's a beaut. Enjoy! I'm a little biased, since I do write and publish, so I am

an author.

The 320 is a very appealing shape. The Author shape is one that is currently missing from my rack.

I love the shape also, and it is one that is missing from my racks as well. I've bid on a couple and lost them, but one day....
