Appears to be a discontinued shape. Don't let others opinions of a pipe keep you from buying ones you find attractive. The external shape isn't going to affect the smoking characteristics of a pipe more than the drilling. If it's attractive to your eye, buy it. It should smoke as well as anything else from their catalog.

I suppose I could’ve increase the scope of the question to all relatively wide bent pots…. Most of my pipes have chambers widths between .75 to .85 inches.

Again, it'll smoke just as well as any well made pipe. The majority of a quality smoke is in the hands of the smoker. Generally speaking, the pipe only performs as well as the person smoking it, it won't correct bad technique. It's attractiveness is going to go a long way in how much you enjoy it more than anything. Quite a bit too small for my liking but if it's attractive to your eye, go for it.

.02 is literally nothing as I saw an example of the KS with .87, with the depth being around 1.5 , sounds like a versatile bowl ,I'd say smoke away in good cheer

I haven't seen this in the Savinelli line. The first pipe I ever bought, that I still have and smoke, is a bent pot sitter with a somewhat unique vertical saddle stem. It was a Tinder Box house pipe, from one of the French makers, possibly Chacom, and called a Tinder Box St. Ives. I always look forward to smoking it, durable and well-crafted. It must be about 45 years old by now.
