It's been quite some time since I had this but had a bowl today.

The dark fired is mellowing in terms of smokiness which is a good thing IMO andthe BBQ is far less noticeable. The perique still has plenty of spice but the tin note was much plumy-er/raisiny-er. Both the tin note and taste have more sweetness.

Overall it's getting really good and is a very full and rich smoke. It's aging very interestingly and I hope it continues in the direction it's going.

Right now it's an excellent blend for both VaPer lovers and dark fired lovers.

There's much more to it than I mentioned which adds to the overall experience.

When this blend came out, I bought a few tins for reasons that I don't understand. At the time, I wasn't a big Virginia Perique smoker (I'm still not, for the most part. Though I enjoy them more now) and I wasn't really into dark fired. Nowadays, I'm enjoying blends with dark fired quite a bit and I'm coming around on vapers. So I'm glad to hear the tins that are sitting in the basement are possibly turning into something I'm really going to enjoy. You don't really hear much chatter about this blend.
