First off, good luck telling manager Bruce Bochy to stop. He has three rings, so the cops ain't coming for him. Second, how are they going to enforce this. From one who already had a pinch on Opening Day in San Francisco.

Seems like nearly all the players chew something, and a lot of it must be 'baccy. Also, lots of gum, ice, and some unidentifiable substances of various colors. Chewing tobacco used to be almost mandatory to keep a nicotine high to maintain concentration through extra innings and many fast balls. Players' tolerance and hence required levels of chaw were through the roof. I assume the fans will be subjected to the rules and the players will mostly get winked through.
