Sad PAD/TAD

My last order from pipesandcigars arrived. I got 8oz of penzance and a tin of FVF, I have never tried neither of those yet so, I m very excited about it. It is going to have to wait thought cause I realized I have something like 15 "open" tobaccos as of now and it is getting a little bit out of hand in my opinion.
Now the sad story, I wanted free shipping so I thought "I will get a pipe to complete the deal". I have been for a while looking at some wessex beauties and I wanted a lovat for a while too. So I got one like this one:

Well, the pipe arrived and it WAS truly beautiful pipe but it had an ugly dig/little hole in the shank. I knew from the moment I saw it, that I wont be able to stop looking at it while smoking. So I returned the pipe. Now all I can think is: "I really liked that pipe".
As I said, sad PAD.

I'm sorry for you, Dnietosi. It's a bummer getting something with a flaw that just gnaws on you like a rat.
Still, it's a beautiful pipe and one that Id be proud to own.

I am wondering if the website said that it had a blemish. Not talking about minor things but obviously this was a pretty big one. Caveat Emptor.

Yeah, I think it was the last one in stock. I think half a second inspection of the pipe would have been enough to avoid me spending the extra money to ship it back. I would have just picked a different pipe. After a couple of online pipe shopping experiences I m thinking I might reduce my pipe shopping to my local store and use online stores for tobacco only. It might be radical but... It is just too disappointing to get something that you dont like after waiting for it.

Sorry to hear it - sad day indeed. I rec'd my Cavicchi the other day and due to the stem being too tight, I had to return it as well.
Wessex pipes have caught my eye too, especially like those cumberland stems. If you pick a new up, hope you'll give us a review.
