Beautiful pipe! Booker the bamboo isn't stained its black bamboo and makes a beautiful shank on a pipe.

He has been sending me pics of his pipes as they are in progress and he is steadily getting better.
Thank you for the kind words.......peteguy, I dont think I told you why I had to start another pipe for you. mrenglish knows as I fessed up to him. The pipe pissed me off in several areas and the corrections did not work out. There was no way I would send out what was becoming of that pipe so I took a hammer to it. LOL.....that was it for that pipe.
Thank you for posting today and that you like the pipe. I normally would have checked in with you to see how you were liking it. I guess the trip to Serbia for a month threw me off and I failed to check in with you on the pipe.

That's a damn fine pipe, just make sure you don't end up getting the shaft again, either demand partial payment upfront or full payment before you send the pipe. You've already proven your credibility in these issues.

I assume this is directed at rx2man?? I am not sure how you do a trade on the forum without one side taking a chance.

I just did a huge trade with scrooge. Talking $300+ worth of tobacco ea. I still think the people that are truly here to enjoy the hobby are trustworthy and not looking to get something over on someone. Obviously someone who just had a whole bunch of pipes dropped on em may have other reasons to be here.
The pipe in this post turned out pretty good. The black is "ebonized", paint a light coat of tannins on the bowl. Let it sit and then go over it with vinegar that had steel wool in it. So its a chemical "stain". Gets you a DARK black. 1st one I did with that method and like it.

Yes that was what I was referring to and in no way the trade being mentioned in this thread. I don't like to see people taken advantage of, then be selling the same pipes on ebay and stating well you're SOL buddy.
