Ha,you got it.
I like the little chunk of briar in the background over both pipes.I've owned both and find Castello's to be cheaply made in both finish and stem work. Here's a comparison of a Sea Rock and a Capri.

That Radice has a awesome rustication! A great example of uniqueness and individuality, along with Castello. Drips "hand made". Like the old Dunhill blasts, all very different from one pipe to the next, no two exactly the same.View attachment 385210This oil cured Radice Rind has a decent rustication. View attachment 385211
Notice the color tone change as you approach the surface peaks. View attachment 385215The Castello Sea Rock of course holds it own with anything out there. View attachment 385216As does Gepetto. View attachment 385218And my favorite - Kristiansen.
Definitely! It gives a great look unachievable by only blast/rustication alone. Mostly done by artisan makers, time consuming but worth the effort.Just to throw something else in here; aren’t there pipes that are rusticated and then sandblasted for a slightly different look altogether? I would swear I have seen examples of such pipes but a quick internet search did not yield any pics.
