Hello all , new here but not at smoking pipes. I wonder if anyone can tell me the history of Royal London pipes, they were made in the USA is all i know. I picked up two at an auction and they are well built, nice briar and smoke very well, in fact the Kaywoodies are getting a rest. Thanks for you time.

One tip-off, if factory pipes are made in the U.S., they most often say "Imported Briar" on the stamp, a hold-over from after WWII when briar again became available. Off hand, Royal London sounds like an English pipe, but not necessarily. There's no nation stamped on the pipe? Or stem? That in itself is unusual.
