This was my final project for the weekend, a Royal Crown Windsor. I was lucky to get the pipe with the box and sock for under twenty bucks on "the bay". I've had it for a while but lacked the courage to take on the refurb project thinking I might do more harm than good. But after a few months of experience I have a bit more confidence and am pleased with the results.
From what I read on the Web, Royal Crown pipes were Hardcastle seconds. My observation is that this is a quality pipe, at least it's one of the better ones in my humble collection.

Very nice restoration job. Myself, I would be proud to sit smoking such a classic, and especially if I had done the work you did to give her a new lease on life.
Now it's time to start building up that cake again.
Happy smoking!

Even if it is a Hardcastle second, it is still a gorgeous pipe. Keep cool and smoke on Tuold! :puffpipe:
