Just received my Rossi Sera yesterday from SPC. Ordered it Thursday, Got it Monday. And this was during Easter mind you. Incredible shipping time as always.

Anyways onto the pipe.

I love my 8202 Rossi apple. It has always been a workhorse smoker for me. But I haven't really cared for many of their offerings as of late. Until I saw the ad for the Sera's. I liked the look of the rusticated pipes.
I have always suggested Rossi for the new comers. You get Savinelli made pipes, for the price of a second.

I had been looking for a full bent Savinelli Punto Oro Gold, but maxed out my account on three straights. They offered this shape in the Rossi Sera, so I figured this would be a great way to try the shape out, at a low price. I have never been a fan of the full bent pipes, but lately for some reason I have discovered that this is what I've been wanting the whole time. A pipe shape that doesn't protrude and get in the way like some straight pipes do. Hangs from the jaw almost by itself.

The pipe is drilled perfectly. There is some sort of flaw on the rim, that looks like just too much bowl coating that got out of hand. But the pipe smokes effortlessly. I'm going to beat the living hell out of this pipe anyways, so any cosmetic flaws it has, wont matter.

For 60 dollars these pipes can't be beat. Again, If you are a new comer to the sport, try a Rossi.

And no they aren't the hand cut stems like the Punto Oro, but that just means that the stems are consistent. I like the way Rossi stems are, so I'm ok with consistent.
Each of my Punto Oros has a different size button. And two are the same shape pipe.

I’ve been thinking about buying one of these because of the great value. I don't love the color though and would've preferred if it was black like the Savinelli Trevi (rusticated). Anyone know how I could do that?

Acetone to take off the finish, and black leather dye to make it black! Should be very simple albeit messy if you are like me ...

But how do you like the "hanger" style pipe? Is it it smoking well for you?
It smokes fantastic. The only downfall is being so close to the face im more likely to get smoke in my eyes. But otherwise it takes no effort to hold this in my jaw. It's a fantastic shape.
