Room Note

Growing up, I remember my Uncles and Grandfather's pipe smoke would smell great. All of us boys loved it. But today, some 40 years later, my pipe tobacco just doesn't have the same room note. I smoke tobacco from a local tobacconist, not tinned brand names like MacBaren, CD or the such. All my tobacco seems to smell like cigarette tobacco. What's changed? Thanks - Rob

They all smoked Holiday, Half and Half, Borkum Riff. I smoke a tobacco called Vermont Maple made by a local tobacconist.

I have found that if your doing the smoking it smell dif, than someone else smoking the pipe. but thats me

and i cant see how something called vermont maple could ever smell like cigs

i have a bad nose and dont notice a room note but i have found if i smoke in my truck and leave the windows up when i go into the store and return i can smell it and most of the stuff i puff smells better than stale cig smoke

Get some 1-Q. The room note is nice and its been around awhile. Altadis Creme Brulee smells awesome!

Yes, MacBaren's Vanilla Cream is probably the nicest on the noses of those who don't smoke (of any aromatic I've found).
It doesn't exactly meet my taste standards those. I have a 50 gram tin I've only smoked one bowl of and it's been just sitting there.
I'm willing to trade it, by the way, if someone wants to PM me.
