Purchased a old pipe from a antique shop....Royal Scott...may not be real briar

whats up here...imported plastic??

Hey Steamtrain....Guess I havent' heard of Royal Scott....but "an old pipe form an antique shop" sounds interesting....any more details?.... :?:

It appears to be a seconds bruyere and yes it is brier....and it has a screw in stem....may have been made by Medico..Allegany smokeworks in Pittsburgh looked at this past Sat. and they cant trace it either....It has a deep bowl like my girlfreind that you could get lost in as well but the bowl is right in your face...Nothing on the internet either...and the spelling is Scot with one t...British spell it bruyere so thats a clue...

British or French spelling? Any way, European pipe mfr's weren't the only ones to use that spelling. I have a few old Linkmans Dr. Grabows that have it.Seems like they used it up to WW2,afterwards went to "imported briar".
