Interesting. You are perceptive! I'm asocial by nature/choice and, very cynical because of my old profession. I do best when unencumbered by others. Don't believe I'm stubborn, just set in my ways. Not a curmudgeon though but, an "aingisoir" An Irish term for a person who tries to gently correct perceived misbehavior and such.

If you have an Irish speaking friends you can probably get a better definition. An Irish gentleman, the father of an old friend, laid the appellation on me. I wear it quite proudly as he was true Irish gentleman.

You remind me of my uncle's....who keeps things to themselves who I love but they are so stubborn who don't want to let anyone in and care about them even though they want it.....and don't know that there is a whole generation my time or younger ,Like my kids who I keep telling stories too memories

Most of us come here to relax and talk about pipes and tobacco.
After a long day of hearing everyone's problems, from the nation, the world, the family....we just want to NOT be therapists for awhile here.
Everyone has bad days, even bad weeks, but Facebook is where you vent that.....probably.....I don't do Facebook, but I hear it's miserable.
Grab a pipefull when you can, come here and post a funny cat meme.
Save the drama for Twatter....I hear that's great too.

I came here because of the pipe. I've stayed for the written conversations on a myriad of subjects, many unrelated to anything tobacco. Threads which become wildly unrelated to the OP are often fascinating and/or amusing. Now I come here for information and camaraderie. It's soooo much more than pipes, tobacco and smoking. For that... thanks to all who keep the site interesting. It's a rather pleasant place to spend time.
