We were driving home from my wife's 50th HS reunion in KY yesterday & I gave thought to running the Cars from bluetooth. Was sorry I didn't when we got home.
I remember when Bill Haley (my era) died at 55 & how crap that seemed. Glad we had Ric a lot longer. "You might think...."
Damn, I just saw this.
Another great voice and talent shuffles off this mortal coil. The Cars are one of my favorite bands. Their debut album and Candy-O are as close to perfect albums as it gets. As richly enjoyable today as they were in 1978.
RIP, Ric.
Condolences to his family, friends and fans. As Hemingway quoted one of the bartenders at the Ritz, "There are people dying this year who have never died before."
