Retirement Pipe

Sitting outside our camper this morning with my bride, enjoying a cup of Iron Bean coffee and a pipe. Ordinarily this would not be cause for a post, however this is her first post-military pipe. Vauna retired from active duty service in the US Coast Guard this week, completing a 20+ year career on August 31st.

Her first smoke as a civilian; Sutliff Creme Brulee in an Uncanny Materials pipe.

Congratulations to your wife! I think retirement is a wise move. I thought I was going to find myself choosing between taking a walk and reading a book, but instead the pace of life picked up, structuring your own day, and being able to layer one activity with another. It looks like you're remembering to relax together. Bon voyage!

She looks like an intense person and she's probably just thinking about puppies or something like that. Or I could be projecting myself who gets that same look thinking about minor trivial things and people then ask me what's wrong. "Nothing I was just thinking about the differences in peanut butter brands".
