Were might I find some good info and video on pipe restoration from all you pipe restorers. I think this would be a great hobby I have never done it but I have spent alot of time working with my hands can you lead me in the right direction.

Last week I fished a couple of two dollar pipes out of the Bay thinking they'd make great "projects", and was about to start a search to see what I could find out from some of you who've been doing this for years.
I've restored pocket watches for quite some time now and thought pipes would be just as rewarding and fun.
There's just something about finding something that was once beautiful but is now headed for the landfill because the owners gone....and adding a few more years of life to it for a new owner.

I agree totally. I've been renovating pipes for about 3 months now. I'm starting to flog a few off on fleabay, just for beer & baccy money really and to pay for all the bits and pieces needed to clean them up.

Thank you, excac8tor, the comprehensive information contained in the listed articles will serve me well for years to come. I too love the histories represented in many estate pipes. This gives be some new interventions for current estates in my collection while encouraging me to reconsider purchases previously overlooked.
