Have long admired the work of Joao Reis from Portugal and when this one made itself available at James Island Piper it was a no brainer. Called a Morta Ukelele with black 3 knuckle bamboo shank.

No brainer is right, never cared for the bamboo shanks, but would have grabbed that one as well. Have never seen one executed like that before, just beautiful!

I love morta grain with that orientation, yowza! Another wonderful bamboo for your collection. At least you can smoke that one while your bamboo rods patiently await the Spring thaw.
