Repurposing Old Meer Bowl

I bought an old meer from shaintiques back last year and thought I could tighten up the loose screw in stem. However, I eventually cracked the shank and rendered the pipe useless for smoking. So, I sanded down the rest of the broken shank and inserted a wooden dowel and glued it in place. I had some wooden sconces (painted) and mounted the bowl to that and used some double sided tape to mount the striker to the front and then mounted to the wall near my pipes and other related items.

What a great idea and the possibilities are endless. My only problem is not having any broken pipes, but i guess that's not really a problem.

Thanks guys. I am probably going to try a little beeswax on it to bring out a little color. It was a regularly smoked pipe(before I got it).
