First off, that I'm writing this at all---nothing has budged me from a steady diet of Kendal Kentucky, Kendal Dark, and Dark Flake for a decade---is ridiculous.
That there was any chance in Hell that I might like something lighter in flavor and body was somewhere between zero and none. I like muscular cigars, Kurdish coffee, and deadly hot sauce.
I did end up giving it a go, though, because I knew how long and insanely hard Greg Pease worked on it, and thought NOT doing so could be viewed as disrespectful, somehow (I'm seriously Old School about stuff like that).
And now, at this very second as I type, gigantic B-52-sized pigs are flying in formation over every square mile of the Earth's surface... because, no shit, I-am-absolutely-not-joking, it is GOOD.
I mean G O O D good. Absolutely unreal. The overall essence is faintly-but-distinctly Graham cracker-y, with a vanilla thread running through it, and everything else is pure, clean, no-nonsense tobacco flavor.
I am stunned. It is absolutely lovely. Perfectly balanced. Burns effortlessly. Easy to light, zero prep. Just fill and go. It's as if my all-time favorite Kendal Kentucky was dialed back by half and set into a picture frame of Graham cracker and vanilla.
Damn.
Oh yeah. No stickiness whatsoever, so outward indication of any kind that it has been flavor enhanced.
I've run out of words. I'm literally just sitting here shaking my head. I knew Greg was one of the top blenders in the world, I had no idea he was a genius effing magician.
This is crazy.

I am patiently waiting for this to hit market! I have been delaying some TAD since Greg spilled the beans in September.

George, any idea when it will be available?
Lots of choke points in production situations, of course, especially for new things, but on a guess I'd say by the end of this month.
What is the cut? Is it a flake or ribbon?
Short-ish (1/4" to 1/2" long) medium-width ribbon. (Super easy to handle and get a consistent fill with, I'm discovering. Probably part of the reason it burns so well.)

Can we pre order?
No idea. I have nothing to do with the blend's development or roll-out, I was just given a sample to test drive.
I do know that C&D will be the "fulfiller" (they make all of Greg's blends anymore), and C&D was purchased by Laudisi a while back, and Laudisi owns smokingpipes dot com... so it's a fair bet they will be among the first storefront sites to offer it.
Can't hurt to call them in the morning, I'd imagine. Maybe they have a list.

Well, I'll try anything that gets Pease's blessing, and georged's review makes it imperative.
Congrats to both Greg and George!

Greg Pease was trained by the best Tobacco Wizards at HogWarts and it was there that he rose to the rank and position of The Dark Lord. Make sure you all offer appropriate sacrifices by burning the blends at the altar.
Even Cthulu is a big fan of his creations and Smaug ever year orders a Metric Million Tonnes of his Dark Creations.

DAMN! That sounds pretty good. I'd try ANYTHING Greg does and with a blend like this I'm so intrigued I can't wait to try it. Hoping Greg would take note of this thread and give us some dates... Waiting with baited breath.........

I'm in. This sounds just delicious. I'm not an real aro nut, but some of my first tobacco was in the aro family. I'm pretty much a Va/Per guy at the moment, but I do enjoy an aro now and then.
This sounds like something I could even smoke around the wife!
