I have an old 60 year meerschaum mine since new - not smoked it for 30 years - no flavor - how do i refurbish it - if it succeeds will convert it to a churchwarden. not much cake, old yellow stem old inexpensive turkish basic type.

I'll be watching this thread with interest. I inherited an old meerschaum from my late grandfather. A ton of cake, and the stone is lace carved and seems a tad crumbly. I've been wondering if it's restorable or not.
