Red Tails

I just saw an excellent and moving WWII film, "Red Tails". Cuba Gooding was smoking a Peterson system pipe in most of his scenes. Thought you might be interested.

I like Cuba Gooding. A man's man. I liked him in that Navy diving movie a while back. I'll order this one based on your recommendation foggy. Thanks.

Yup, I watched it and it was a good movie. Also seen him with the pipe.

I wonder if they gave the pipe a credit. Talk about product placement. If he looked

at home smoking it, either he is a pipe smoker or he had good coaching.

It was a very good movie and Gooding was good in it. He is a great actor, liked him as Nicky Barnes in American Gangster, the diving guy with DeNiro. A smaller movie, Shadowboxer was also good.

You know, now that you mention it, I don't recall him actually smoking it. I didn't see any smoke, but he acted like he was smoking.

A little too sensational for me; I preferred 1995's The Tuskegee Airmen. There is considerably less action, but the acting is top notch. Also features a young Cuba Gooding Jr. :lol:

I was just telling a friend about the film. She said some years ago she met one of the guys on whom the film was based. He was quite elderly and sitting next to her on an airplane. She did not recall his name.
