RRR pipes magic notes as it burns down the bowl. Sometimes sweet, sometimes salty, sometimes smoky; sometimes it all melds together and tastes like salty smoked fruit. The present incarnation of Red Rap is a milder version of what it was years ago;... but, it is still one of the best tobaccos on planet Earth. I bet if the angels smoke, many a pipe up there reeks of the Red Rapparee. Just heavenly.

Roth my Man,
Rattray's Red Rapparee not McCranie's Red Ribbon.

Welcome Dave.

Red Rapparee is the only one of that series from Rattray that I have not tried. I'll have to, someday.
And yes, Red Ribbon is good stuff too. :)

I too waited a long time to try Red Rapparee for some odd reason. I was hooked from bowl one. You have good taste my friend.

Welcome to the forum, Dave.
I smoked Red Rapparee now and then years ago, then I stopped smoking for a number of years. I'll be putting it and some of the other Rattray blends on my list to try.
Please share some of your other favorites with us.
