As some of you know I have been trying to reach my goal of 250 pounds( 25 year supply) for a while now. It has been harder than I expected because of out of stock issues. Many of my favorites are continually out of stock so I cannot buy them like I would, but I am picking away at them slowly but surely.
Here is what I have ordered in the last month.
40 Dunhill Flake

30 Astleys no 44 dark Flake

25 Wessex Brown Virginia Flake

20 Dunhill Deluxe Navy Rolls

15 Wessex Brigade Campaign Dark Flake

10 Rotary Navy Cut

10 John Aylesbury Luxury Flake

5 Wessex Gold Virginia Flake

4 250 gram boxes of SG St James Flake.
It totals to be about 19.00 pounds of tobacco which brings me to around 180 or so pounds in the seller. Another 70 more to go and I can quit and focus on pipes. I am hoping I can get this done by the end of the year when prices will be rising. At least Peck has stopped buying, this should help, competing with him is a bitch. LOL

Harris thats one hell of a cellar. could you refresh my memory. what is the formula for calculating how much you smoke in a year?

I think the formula, based on an average of 3g per bowl is computed as follows:
To find out your yearly consumption:
Yearly consumption (in grams) = Average number of bowls smoked per day x 3 (grams) x 365
Then take your yearly consumption as calculated above and multiply that by the number of years you want the tobacco to last for.
So lets say you smoke an average of 5 bowls per day - then . . .
yearly consumption = 5 x 3 x 365
yearly consumption = 5475 grams
If you want it to last 25 years . . .
Total grams required = 5475 x 25
= 136,875 grams
There is 453.592 grams in a US pound, so
pounds required = 136,875 / 453.592
= 301.76 lbs

Excellent job Harris. Stuff has been in stock recently and that's what got me across the line.
If you hadn't been paying twice the going rate on your gold-plated IM Corona flints you would probably already be there, lol

Thanks guys. Stuff has shown up more towards the end of the month, but it is still pretty sporadic.
olewaylon, I am pretty much smoking 4 bowls a day on occasion 5 so 12 grams a day is what I figure at 365 that is 9.64 pounds a year so I figure it to be 10 pounds a year for 25.

Hassis, are there any Va's similar to Wessex BVF. I bought some at a local b&m and even though I haven't smoked much of it (one bowl) the aroma in the jar is amazing (I jarred it right after I opened it). It doesn't seem to be available anywhere on line. I can see why you Va guys like Va's so much. I'm more into oriental forward english blends right now, but would like to have some quality Va's on hand for a nice change of pace.

supdog, two flakes similar to BVN are Astleys no 44 and John Aylesbury Luxury Flake, both very tasty.
Kashmir, I am getting ready to take pics of the stash, it is going to look confusing as hell because of how many places I have to keep it.
