Do bigger people tend to buy bigger pipes or at least be more drawn toward the ratio and proportion aspect of the pipe and themselves?

I admire the flow of the grain and bird's eye patterns on large pipes. Its more dramatic, to my eye, than on smaller pipes. A lot of my old Danish freehands are 7+ inches long with huge bowls.
I like big things in general. Dogs, cars, drinks, steaks...everything big except women.
Those I like small.

I'll take them any way they come as long as they are beautiful to look at, are good at what they do, and don't complain too much. I guess I like my women the same way... ;)

I want to eventually get a Boswell Grizzly...I'm just a regular guy build, and my wife can attest that I'm not trying to compensate for any small appendages.

That pipe made me and my girlfriend laugh. She said "I think he is over compensating for something". Anyways, I am a bigger guy, 6'3 195, and I prefer bigger pipes. I am really drawn to the Nording pipes that are similar to Erik Nording Group 4 Series Freehand. I don't know the technical name of that style but the more "modern" looking pipes.

At 6.2 and 400 lbs to me the pipe has to match the blend . I do like my Nording freehands but more for the feel in my hand . Iam purfectly content to smoke a size three billard or even my tiny Bent Bob .

Haha the more I look at that picture the more I start to think that it is just a 22oz painted with a tree branch connected to it with a mouth piece for easy chugging.

Im 6ft and 250lbs.
I have alot of different sized pipes but Ive noticed that the pipes that i pick up most often are LARGE Bulldogs, and most of those are bent.

I'm a somewhat smaller guy @ 5'9" and 135lbs.
My preference is for smaller pipes (dunhill group 3-ish), but not because I feel out of proportion. Smaller pipes are easier to clench and I prefer shorter smokes. Even with smaller pipes, I almost never smoke a bowl start to finish in one sitting.

Yeh,I hear ya bytor, but my goodness-now that thing you have there is way out of ratio and proportion. If that thing were two hundred pounds then that pipe would make a good coffee table.I can't say much for that things lungs though.
