Looks like the metal crimped a little on the stem - I'm guessing this is in the same vein as the "forehead warmer" that popped up a few weeks ago.

My Cajun Brain such as it is says it was bent by hand and not rare.
Totally. I have a couple Falcons in the pipe cave... I think I'll throw them in my back pocket then sit on 'em to make them "rare" and "collectable". It'd be easier if I was in better shape, I might just be too fat to get a sharp bend in the shank.

Sorry to disappoint, but a bent Falcon doesn't look like that. I'd recommend going to wwww.4noggins.com and look at their new Falcons to get an idea of styles.
I will say, someone took matters into their own hands when they decided they wanted a bent one!

I thought the sarcasm was rather obvious! As gtclark mentions above it struck me in the same way as this one (just relisted) on ebay :D

Here are some bent ones, the one on E-Bay was a regular pipe , not rare just abused.

Sorry Brent. When we get to know you better, we'll catch the humor.
Bradley, you old dog! I didn't know you were a Falcon and Viking smoker. I have a Shillelagh just like yours. Bought it unused from Kathy Worth, can't bring myself to smoke it when I have another one with an orange bowl. What do you think of the brown (bronze?) finish. I've heard they show wear marks after awhile.

Plat, I like em when I"m raking pine needles for wife to put on her flower beds. I load 4 of em, cut a cleaner for each em as a juice holder. LOL. Then I coil another cleaner on top of em to hold tobacco down and not spill, drop 4 in my bib overall top pocket, with my ammo ready I put my rake at shoulder arms and go. Plat I have not smoked the brown one outside so I don't know about wear . The orange bowl one is a Dr Grabow, my warhorse outside is an old Falcon with the dental bit, couldn't find it on my messy pipe table, but I know it's there.Plat I am just like you, twisted one is new and don't have the heart to light it up, paper is still in the bowl.
