Have they provided any information on how the Sutliff/Mac Baren purchase will affect their blends? We've heard from a lot of other blending houses on their path forward, but I haven't seen anything out of these guys. Are they even going to keep selling all of their blends? I know most people are wrapped up in Mac Baren's HH line or Sutliff's virginias, but this is the one that worries me. I hope PP SR and MR SR age well, because I've been buying a $h!t ton of it!

They are silent because they are looking for a new blender. They want to have it fully arranged rather than give half or incorrect information. Sadly, my opinion is that some blends will disappear even after finding someone. Sutliff was uniquely suited to the job.
Okay, thanks for the Intel... Sounds like stocking up isn't an overreaction. I would assume their Plum Pudding and Mississippi River offerings are priority, but I have no idea what their sales look like.

Not at all. Even if they make them again, they will be different. Maybe better, but different. Get what you can now and then buy the new ones.

Plenty of rumors out there about which blenders they are in discussions with. C&D seems to be the most prominent rumor followed by Laudisi, Kopp and Dan Tobacco.

So, in other words, no one knows anything about anything except Matt Guss and he isn't talking.

Thank you for asking this question in the forum. I know many have the same questions.

I heard that the Seattle Club's president's ex-wife's great grandfather's second cousin did a deal with a tobacco company in Virginia in 1883 that gives them ENORMOUS leverage to arrange to buy a huge load of vault-stored super-secret leaf that was originally grown to be a gift to heads of state around the world.

And after they get it, the blending will be done by a team Mike McNiel is putting together who will work out of a cave in Argentina.

How much will it cost? What will it be called?

That's when things get really interesting...

But I've probably already said too much.

You'll just have to wait.
