The original "Shaft" is such a good movie on so many levels.

The character was a snappy dresser, which was cool to see and Roundtree could pull it off. The opening credits of the movie with the scenes of the city, walking about New York City to the theme with the turtleneck, nice outfit and . . . . . leather trench coat is more iconic in my view than the singular strut of SNF. Be watching it tonight!
