I was smoking my new pipe when I heard a small click/crack sound has this happened to anybody else? It is a cheap china made pipe and there are no visible crack marks.

First bowl ever? Or your second or third bowl today? Sounds like wood expanding, may have partially cracked in the bowl. Had a poorly made thin walled bowl crack all the way through once because I smoked it several times a day without letting it cool down all the way. If I were you, I'd get a second pipe, and rotate em regularly. Or get a nice Peterson, Grabow, Savinelli....

It could be the moisture in the baccy like UA said... I used to hear that stuff all the time, then I started drying out my tobacco more and I notice it doesn't hardly do it anymore.

 unclearthur haven't had to worry about hitting a seed in a long time. Although, another smoker found some ways that I was managing the bowl as I smoked kind of familiar. I assured him I had no idea what he was talkin about.
