The Loewe pipe? Yes, a Lovat, that is the shape. Think of Inverness as the company's designation for the shape, in the same way Sasieni used town names to designate shapes. The Lovat shape in the Sasieni world, shape number 26, the Marlborough.

Dave is 100% correct. Coincidentally, I just bought a Loewe Inverness from another forum member last week. Very nice pipe. About a group 4 in size. I would say its shank is a bit on the short side for a classic lovat, however.

So, what is the difference between a Lovat and a Liverpool?
A tapered stem, and the shank/stem proportions. An example, again from Sasieni, shape 62, town name......Liverpool. :)
