So had been using Chrome and recently added Firefox-like to have 2 operable browsers. Jettisoned Chrome recently and added Opera when Chrome would no longer open up for me. Now Firefox tabs continually crash, (now I remember why I threw it out before). So, want to remove Firefox and add another. Any other good browsers out there? As an aside, I'll say it's such a hassle to delete a browser and lose the bookmarks with it-Opera failed in importing my old bookmarks. Thanks.

I second the above. Chrome blows chunks. I don't update my Firefox, though...I'm on a very old version. Whenever you hear "update" or "upgrade," it means that whatever it is will be made worse than before. I only keep Chrome around for sites that my antiquated Firefox can't/won't load, which are blessedly few in number.

I’ve been using the Firefox ESR (Extended Support Release) version for a number of years, so that I avoid every new iteration, and only get major fixes—I tried Chrome several years ago and had to uninstall it, as it was a memory hog (I do use Chrome on my Android phone, though).

I had to buy a computer a couple weeks ago. The old one I had Firefox on really liked it, but it had become almost unusable due to its age. Right now, I am trying to use Edge and Chrome. Don't much care for either of them.

I'm shocked to hear people say they don't like chrome. I used Firefox for a decade, and when chrome came out, I never looked back. But I use Google for everything, email, phone, pictures etc. So maybe it's just easier for me.

Wasnt sure Firefox still existed!

Like I said, only dumped Chrome and Firefox because they literally no longer worked for me. Decided to go back to AVG secure browser to supplement Opera. Don't remember why I went away from avg. Don't care about anything with Opera other than how it works when I want it to and doesn't crash.

All of you ditching Chrome for Firefox, you are doing yourself NO favors.

If I had to recommend anything outside of Chrome, go with Brave.

You have the same options, a similar GUI, and the option for private tabs, or private with Tor and it blocks trackers and ads.

Firefox isn’t the “rage against the machine” it once was AND it’s less secure, regardless what you read online.

+1 for Brave

Brave is great. Just make sure you understand how the shields can affect yout browsing experience. When in dount, kill the shields to see if they are mucking with any of the site components.

Having only rudimentary computer abilities, I can never know how much of my problems with computers are hardware, (my PC is 12 years old), and how much software. But, tonight Opera stopped working and, in a fit of pique decided to reload Chrome in anticipation of trashing Opera. Much to my amazement, after I reloaded Chrome, discovered all my bookmarks I had on Chrome before I recently ditched it were still there.

Never owned a personal computer but Firefox and Chrome aren't friendly for me mobile browsing. The Samsung browser is my go to.
