Did Rothman's Tobacco, ever have anything to do with Dunhill. The reason I am asking is that yesterday, Wife and I were at a yardsale and the old guy there was a collector of almost everything. I saw no pipes, so I asked him if he had any. He told me his wife, years ago, worked for Rothmans Co., and she was given 3 or 4 Dunhills. He tooks us in one of his workshops to look for them but could only find 3 pipes, 1 Old Port- Made in Canada, nice little bulldog, 1 Unsmoked Yellobole- Lovet or Canadian Style, and 1 Old Medico. He said the Dunhills, to his knowledge, were still in the boxes and one of the boxes was Blue. I left my phone number with him, so fingers are crossed.

Rothmans is a UK cigarette brand. They made the cigarettes for Dunhill, which I don't think had really anything to do with the Dunhill pipe manufacturing. But it was all the same name and brand, so I wouldn't be surprised they had some pipes in their merchandise. Heck Dunhill even had cologne for while. Don't know if they still do. I recall my aunt smoking Dunhill reds. They were expensive cigarettes and made by Rothmans.
Perhaps you have heard of Pall Mall cigarettes ? Same company as Rothmans, Dunhill cigarettes and I believe Silk Cut. Those cigarette brands were quite popular in Europe in the 70's. I smoked Rothmans blue for a little while.
Nowadays, I believe all those cigarette brands are part of BAT (British American Tobacco)
Good luck on those pipes man... Would be a great score !

Ya Mick, it would indeed be awsome if he could find them. I just did some researching and it does state that Alfred Dunhill LTD. was sold out to Rothmans in 1967.
