I like to think I am knowledgeable about pipes, but unfortunately that knowledge doesn't translate well when it comes to tobacco. Every once and a while I would get some tobacco with an estate pipes lot, like these 2 sealed ones

So far I have been experimenting with rehydrating the very dry tobaccos using pipe tobacco humidors? Jars?

Also dipped my finger in blending and I personally really like the results, but even I can't trust my own opinion about tobacco.
So my question is - does the tobacco loose some quality or flavour if it dryed out and rehydrated again using this method?

P.S. while I wait for this Middleton to get ready, has anyone tried it before? Is it good? I have never seen it here in Europe, but I am excited because I remember from my child days , us getting some of those cheap cherry flavored cigars and smoking them. I still have vivid memories of really liking the flavor combination of tobacco and cherry.
