Putting Old Briar Back in Service

Here's two of my most recent estate pipe purchases. I have restored them as best as I can and now ready for smoking.
The first one is this Oom-Paul design made by a company called Mercato 'Filtro9' Italia.
It was not in too bad a shape but the bowl rim needed some work.

The next pipe is this German Oldenkott 'Nicofry' billiard. This one is huge at almost 7 inches in length and has a nice thick walled bowl.

Thanks roth. Once the fun of restoring is over I either keep them for myself or I'll resell. I'd say I keep about 70% of what I buy.

I'm not a big fan of straight pipes... however, that doesn't mean I can't appreciate a good looking pipe. Great job on the both of them

Dur I'm tired of telling you how nice your restores are. Heh.
Nice stuff. Even if you don't keep em at least your putting back into the pool clean and in good shape for someone else.
Some of these older pipes aren't going to be around in 50 years without people restoring them now.

A little char at the rim never bothered me in my older pipes, but after seeing your photos, I think I may

have the two or three oldest buffed up by a pipe repairman or even venture into it myself. Nice job.
