I just picked up an ounce of this to try, one sniff and i thought it was an aromatic, i checked and it is listed as a Virginia (with very very heavy topping i suppose?), my question is would i run the risk of ghosting a pipe with this stuff? This first time I’m smoking it out of an MM that i use for aromatics it i want to try them to be safe.

Edit: 5 puffs in and this isn’t for me too much coconut, i don’t know why they added coconut i liked the regular (for you Office fans)

The question still does stand will these heavily topped or cases Virginias ghost, my uneducated guess says yes.

The coconut's pretty subtle... lol. Great office episode.

The MB Navy Flake has a bunch of burley in it, so not a direct comparison. I like it, but with everyone doing their own version of a Navy Flake, it's hard to find what I think of as a 'standard' Navy flake (Virginia and rum). FYI, the PS Luxury Navy Flake is pretty sweet also, and has a little perique. It's a nice topping, but it smothers the Virginias too much to be standard fare for me. If it were half as sweet it'd be great. When I want a Virginia flake I usually reach for the Sutliff 507 Virginia Slices, which is much lighter on the added sweetness.

So many to try and yes i think i have an oz of the 507 and a couple others. I like the capstans, the light citrus, i like Orlik golden sliced as well as mcconnel red Virginia.

If it's worth the experiment @AJL67 , there was a thread a while back by, I'm pretty certain, @gamzultovah in regards to gently stoving Luxury Twist Flake in the oven.

Will try and find it for a link.
