Yep, NY is complaining about the millions of dollars in tobacco tax revenues they are losing due to bootleg tobacco sales. They are working out all sorts of bizarre schemes to counter it, and yet the most obvious one, lower the tax, never occurs to the morons.

What are these idiots thinking. Have the tax at a reasonable rate and you will have a decent amount coming in. (DUH!!!) No wonder people are going elsewhere for their tobacco products.

Taxes are the chief reason that Famous Cigar left NY and came to Pa. If the intent was to curb smoking it failed but you can bet that some nitwit in Albany budgeted an increase in tax revenues that will not be realized. You just can't fix stupid.
