Twice in the last month or two, while ordering online from retailers I've used successfully before, the sites have jammed just as I've gotten to the payment section. Meantime, I've used online for other items at other sites without a problem. One site that failed me was a perfume and toiletry site where I was ordering scent for my wife's birthday. The second was the very ordinary Hanes site where I was ordering boxers and t-shirts. I end up phoning the customer help number, and without any attempt at explanation, the help line staff has entered my order by phone, as if this is quite ordinary. I am not technically adept, but I'm used to ordering online. So far, no such problems with pipe and tobacco sites. Is this happening more often to others?

I only use one for blends. I'm a member. I simply log in, make my order, it's billed to the card on record and is usually7 delivered within three days. Very simple and efficient. I have a local Duluth Trading Company outlet so clothes are not something I order on-line. Amazon provides a few food stuffs Prime and Kindle. Ordering is simple, delivery quick. So, no problems with any established accounts.

I have lost the MM website, whether entered from Forums or Google. I updated the Safari app browser, but still no MM site. Luckily I have plenty of cobs, but I miss access to see special editions. I'll tinker some more. I came to digital in my forties, with poor introductions both at work and even worse at home.

Ran into a big scam purchasing my first home PC. Long story, and not worth retelling. Atty Generals came to the rescue and got back some money from the big corp that is still in business and going strong, of course.

If you don't mind me asking, who do you use to order your blends? Also do they charge a premium shipping charge for that three-day delivery?

Yes, I have had this happen to me once I click to get to paypal. I assumed the internet signal was weak or there was a great deal of traffic or the carrier was having problems yet again. It could also be: Stormy weather, Big Tech, Deep State, Foreign Gov't's, Space Aliens which now allegedly exist ... :ROFLMAO:rotf

I just save the order and come back later.

Many online retail sites use several other sites and services to process orders, from payment to inventory control to shipping, all of these are tied together with APIs, in simple terms little messengers to pass information back and forth, some larger sites i have worked on such as Nike or GAP can have dozens and dozens of these APIs and if one goes down (overloaded or the connecting system is down even for a second at just the right … or actually wrong time) you’ll have issues ordering or the dreaded long wait times for something to happen onscreen as the offending API tries again.

Boy, Maine is Puritanical. Have to order some of those Pilgrim hats for the local market.

The things other than tobacco I order on-line are Amazon things. Never fails. Tobacco sites usually work but every once in it fails or hiccups. Pipes & Cigars can be an adventure.

I made a small order for some cleaning supplies during a sale at Pipes and Cigars on June 15 and the order never went through. I used the PayPal option like usual but the ordered went from processing to canceled after a couple of weeks. I was never charged and never received an email… I tried to call twice but after being on hold for an hour gave up. I don’t know what happened but this is a first for me. Not too surprising I guess, considering their reputation in the last few years.
