This should be a pretty straightforward question. Remember guys. I have not been out of the house in years.

I can imagine going to a B&M Tobacconist and paying 6$ for a codger pouch, which is what many are online.

What I can't imagine is going to a Dirt Cheap or Even 7-11, AMPM, Arco and paying that price for tobacco. Last time I was out, maybe 2010, it was less than 2$/pouch. Have I been gone that long?

Thanks. I just can't see the prices that high. Of course, Misery doesn't stick it to you as badly as some states.

When I was 16 I bought a carton of Salems in Owensboro, KY for 2.96. I never forgot that. I don't think they were taxed at all back then in KY

A pouch of Carter Hall in central Ky is about $7.99, and a pack of Marlboro reds is $5.85.

Wow, that sounds much higher than it should be. I guess KY doesn't consider its tobacco as important as it used to.

And I remember gasoline for $.15 per gallon. I always got a dollar's worth of regular for my old Studebaker and got the oil checked, windshield washed and the gas pumped! Times change.

I remember it that low, too. I also remember a Sinclair station in the 80s that started giving full service for a penny or two more than self serve stations. Guess who got my extra pennies
