All of the threads that I could find are old and closed. How do I post a pic that isn't a clickable attachment? I tried using the Imagur copied link, but it just appeared as text.

I have no idea what a clickable attachment is. Please explain.

Clickable attachment? You mean a hyperlink? I only know how to do it with saved photos. Just click the little square image (second from right on posting or reply page). Then click in the box that pops up to select one of your saved photos. For neatness, be careful of your insertion point (where your cursor is).
Later, without warning: Wait. I just checked your postings. I see what you mean. When you post, when the image pops up, there will be a big image and a little one. Just ignore the latter completely unless you want to change the size posted. (No expert here, just a user. Beware of anything I utter.)

By clickable attachment I mean that in my reply box I can attach a file. That file does not appear as a fullsize picture like I see most of you posting. It is a thumbnail that you have to click on to open. For whatever reason, the options above the text box, like the square insert image box etc. are not highlighted on my desktop, so I can't use that option. I'm curious why they aren't highlighted.
Click "Insert image" (the little image icon) and either select an image from your computer or add a URL.
Actually, looks like all the controls, including text formatting, are disabled for you. What browser are you using? Can you try a different one?

That button is not highlighting for my when I hover on it and it won't give me that Drop Image box
Clear your caches and check to ser if your browser is up to date and retry. If not, use a different browser.
If none of that works… try turning it off and back on.

Well guess what? Brave is the problem. Now all the buttons are highlighted using Edge browser.
Thanks for the suggestion, because i get so used to using Brave that i don't always think that it can be the source of problems like this.

I mainly upload pics from my iphone.... 95% of the time it says my photo file is too big. So i screenshot a picture of the picture and have to upload it that way..... It is pretty lame and gives the picture some black area at the top and bottom.......
Sometimes it will allow me to just copy and paste it into the chat box where it isnt an attachment you have to click on....
Would love to know how to get that fixed myself.

I use Brave and have no problems.
Generally just Ctrl "C" then Ctrl "V" to copy and paste.
Thanks, I'll try using the keys next time instead of switching to Edge. Hope it works
