Are any Oz pipers aware that Missouri Meeschaum is no longer posting to Oz?
I asked Marilyn, and she said Aust. Post told them not to send stuff. But I've had various items sent from six different people and there was no worries at all.
Please advise.

I just sent a ? weighing 1.8lbs to New Zealand ??. It cost 82$. ? According to the post office, both New Zealand & Australia ?? are having difficulty keeping up with deliveries from everywhere. They don’t have enough help and the prices are raised/adjusted accordingly in an attempt to dissuade others from shipping. ? Only Express options are available to ?? shippers. ?‍♂️☕

Are they enforcing a ban on tobacco imports?
Have been for tobacco products, with a couple of exceptions. Both NZ and Australia have specific reference in import legislation allowing the importing of tobacco pipes, as opposed to pipes for other uses. Would be interesting to know if MM’s greener line has compromised all of their pipes getting imported. I shit you not, someone is trying to sell a used corn cob here for $50us

@Simmerdown☕️ im keeping an eye on the tracking of the parcel you sent to my friend. He is super excited about the box. Thanks for being a good bugger. My secret Santa came via the express service and took 2-3 weeks, whereas a box of pipes sent in November has only arrived in the country today.
Nice! I truly hope it arrives safe & sound. If he likes English, there’s a good bit to appreciate. ?☕

I'm not in the market, but I'd look at getting one from SmokingPipes or another retailer.

I've had parcels arriving from USA, UK, Denmark and Germany in recent months.
Getting through, just taking a lot longer.

Having said that, I'd look closely at the postal charges. You could really get stung (I've paid more for postage than the actual pipe on one occasion ! ).

Yes, SP super saver for pipe cleaners, filters etc is great at about $4 postage to Aus (6-7 week delay at the moment).

Actually a few cigars under a certain weight can be shipped for under $10 by SP. Above a certain weight of cigars and it jumps up to $68, so I keep my orders small. Cigars have not been caught by the pipe tobacco legislation yet here is Aus.

Pipe tobacco however is basically off the menu since it needs to go to a customs agent and is about $78 postage for even 1 tin (I have a tobacco import licence but the cost is too great to order any pipe tobacco since it will automatically get hit with duty, GST etc etc as well as the high shipping cost to begin with!)
