Does anybody have some suggestions on what would be some perfect "pocket" pipes? Not too big, nor too small, but just perfect for while your on the go. I might be doing some interning in Washington D.C. this summer, so if that turns out to be the case, I will be on the go for the most part of the day.

Thanks!

I would suggest a pipe with a small bowl if you are on the go. Try searching for a "feather weight" on some of the on line stores to get an idea.
Pick up a wind cap also. You can put it on the bowl so tobacco or ash will not fall out in your pocket, very handy indeed.

Depending on what you can spend on pipes will narrow down your search. I suggest buying the best you can afford as a good pipe will give you years of good smokes. Also if you have a pipe shop you can go to and play touchy feely with pipes in person, do that? Pipes are very personal items and getting a feel for one in person is a way to insure you are happy with your purchase. Or some of the good fellows on this forum might have some for sale at an affordable price?

If you did not want to go with a small pipe you could by a Spigot. You would have a full size pipe and the ability to carry it in your pocket.

Vest pocket pipe would also fit the bill nicely. Smaller bowl for shorter smokes and fits nicely into a shirt/vest pocket.

I would say a bent pipe would make a good pocket pipe. I just turn the stem backwards and it fits in my pocket nicely. Best to let it cool before you twist it though, chance of breaking the tennon and burning your leg.
or yeah a vest pocket pipe is good twist the stem the same way. check out this

http://www.eacarey.co.uk/shop/pipes/carey-10-minute-quarter-bent-billiard.html I have one of these "10 Minute pipes" from E A Carey and it works very well when you are in a hurry, or only have a short break.

Definitely Big Ben's Ranger is worth its money, Brebbia has got also line of small pipes, look for the Junior 2766 - I own one and I love it.

Hey i have a comoy's vest pocket pipe for sale. It is lightly smoked but does have a little oxidation on the stem. I could clean that off or you could buy it straight up. These are perfect for traveling and smoke good too. I recently gave a Savinelli model to my buddy for xmas and he loves his. Here are some pics pm me if interested.

Hey Shain, thats a really nice pipe. I've been looking for one just like that because what I do requires me to dress nice and I always wear vests. How much do you plan on selling it for?

I love it, but it can burn a little hot. The sports series are full size bowls with small stems, which tends to get a little more heat to your mouth. However if you know that ahead of time it is a non-issue. With slow smoking it delivers!

This is my latest and smallest pipe. As you can see in the third pic, just how small it is.

Thank you all for such wonderful advice!

@ Shaintiques - Thanks for such a fine offer, but I believe I have found a pipe that I might order.
