I found this pipe cleaning up at my great uncles house getting ready for an estate sale. I have searched and found out that the C.P.F. Stands for Colossus Pipe Factory. The only other writing that I can make out is on the side and possibly says French Briar. There was also a note in the box with the pipe that said it was my great uncles grandfathers pipe. My uncle was 92 when he passed and his grandfather was born in the 1870’s is the best I can find out. I would appreciate any information about this pipe. Thanks!

CPF French Briar is right on. Looks early. Like 1900ish. Stem might not be the original. Is the bit opening round hole, oval or a slot?
Better yet, take a pic.

Looks original to me. It’s a little ragged but could probably be saved. Or you could just enjoy handling it.
I got it because I knew when it said grandfather pipe and tobacco, I knew it was old. It’s amazing that it’s at least over 100 years old. I’ll be taking it to family events to show it off! Thanks for your input!
