Hi, I'm planning to buy myself a new Peder Jeppesen pipe with no experience with it. Does anyone recommend any kind? I like some of the shapes of these tubes

I only have one P. Jeppesen—it’s considered a High Grade—the overall finish is quite nice—a very high gloss, but there are some tiny dimples on the underside, maybe due to air bubbles that popped and left a depression. I’m glad to have the pipe, but, it was a little disappointing to find these “flaws.” Mind you, they’re small, almost like pin pricks, but I was expecting no blemishes. This pipe appealed to me because the rough plateau is on the side instead of the top of the pipe. It’s very heavy, definitely not suitable for clenching. But, I generally don’t clench anyway.

The post above reminds me that I have a Neerup Structure Pot that I enjoy very much—I guess I don’t think of the Neerup P. Jeppesen quite the same as a plain Neerup.

I like the straight Neerup pipes. It seems the bent ones are far more common. I was lucky to find a straight apple last week and had to scoop it up.

Nice pipe, btw.

I have 3 each from Neerup and the Peder Jeppesen line, and they are probably my favorite briar pipes at the moment. I clench all of my pipes, and Peder has a way of designing pipes with large chambers that are on the heavy side that are still phenomenal clenchers. They also tend to have thicker bowls which is something I really like when it comes to briar pipes. I also just really dig their style.

Big, big fan of Neerup/Jeppesen pipes, and the only briar pipe I still actively shop around for even though I’m very content with my current collection
