Pipes On TV-Recent Sightings

Two recent sightings of pipe smoking on TV: "All Things Great and Small" now showing on PBS features a pipe smoking Veterinarian. The new Netflix movie "Dig" shows Ralph Fiennes smoking a pipe all the way through.He looks like he knows what he is doing, too.

Interestingly, both this early 20th century characters appear to have only one pipe that they smoke all the time. My how times have changed.

I think times change less on some fronts then we think. I'll put it this way Some friends got grandpas pipe some friends got grandpas pipe collection. Side note one of my friends got hundreds of pipes when grand dad passed almost all pretty caked up he gave me one it smoked great I gave it back cause it might have looked like a beater but even back then I could tell it wasn't (after smoking it). I wish I could go back and look over those pipes now that I know more about them.

I got an old pipe as a gift at a yard sale while buying an old cane rod. Real beat up and smoke to shit. I cleaned it up and it is a great smoker. I feel a little connection with the old fisherman every time I smoke it. It loves 1q. I think it has a ghost but in a very good way. I think if you find and old pipe smoke hard it's because it smoked well for someone.

I've seen "Dig". Ralph Fiennes looks like a proper pipesmoker, but that may just be because he is a great actor. I've never been disappointed by his acting yet. One of the best movie actors of our time.

The pipe Fiennes is seen with is a smooth brown Lovat. I didn't see any other pipe, but he is either one of us, or an actor who knows his details.

Last night. New made for TV series called “PACIFIC” directed by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks. World War Two - US Marines fighting Japanese.

Set opens at Christmas 1941. There are Pipes shown everywhere! Even the combat scenes!
