Finally, after several weeks of waiting period(Covid19) I was pleased to receive my brand new long Canadian shaped pipe from MaitrePiper.fr fabrication des pipes de Genod, this is now my second or third pipe I had from this manufacturer, and I'm quite surprised on how well-executed and finished pipes their pipes are, even this one is flawless in all regards except for two pit(filling)marks on the bowl surface, drilling is perfect, and so is the stem fitment, flush and even, the draw is typical french type a tad more restricted than on your typical Peterson, Stanwell or Savinelli, and all this for only 65e, were I starting off brand new pipesmoker I'd decidedly consider having Genod, or any of other French made pipe from St Claude region, good value traditional pipes with no tricksCIMG0697.JPGCIMG0700.JPGCIMG0698.JPGCIMG0699.JPG

My Genod is a compact bent egg with a surprisingly ample bowl, and I really enjoy it. French pipes are, by in large, way above their price point, handsome designs, and carefully crafted. Congratulations, that's a fine example.

Genod makes a wonderful pipe worth usually twice the price. I had one and it smoked great but it was a bit too large for me so I moved it on.

And This one shall be my last of those canadian models, enough is enough, but in addition to moderate price I was attracted by its light weight ,relative modest chamber size and that this one had no metal ferrules or other ornaments,

Really like that Canadian shape right now - also love the French pipe heritage and will make sure to pick one up on next journey through. Beautiful pipe!
