There was a discussion a few weeks ago about testing limits in pipe making. It was a reference to experiments that might not be salable, but are important for a maker to learn.
I thought that I would put up a couple of mine. The lumber jack is sold, after having had it for some years, but the horn is still in my possession.
This pipe is made of Lao Boxwood. The stem was two inches of the ten inch length. This is the largest stem that can be turned on a sixteen inch lathe.
I personally really like this pipe, though people tell me it can't be sold. It has flame grain curling up on both side of the bowl. It has a briar stem and a pretty deep bowl.
