Pipe to be identified （ Bjarne？）

Hello, I just got a nice freehand.




However, the nomenclature seems strange to me.

It is stamped as:

B. NIELSEN
HANDMADE
IN DENMARK



I guess it is a Bjarne Nielsen pipe. However, according to Pipephile, there's no Bjarne logo like this.

I am wondering could anyone has any information about this pipe? Thanks.

The pipes labelled "Bjarne" are factory mades. The one you have "may" be a one-of by the man himself.
Jeppesen designs a line called Neerups, but puts his name on the ones he makes with his own hands. Could be something like that.
The grain is spectacular on that pipe.

I actually got to meet Bjarne a dozen or so years ago. He was vending his pipes at the Briary's pipe show.
A very nice guy, but that guy's own pipes were notoriously dirty. The guy did not believe in pipecleaners, ha ha.

Yep, thats a Bjarne Neilsen hand made, but its got a poorly fitted replacement stem, not the original hand made stem. That will greatly affect it's value.

Yup. Very bad replacement stem. Good God.

Bjarne's don't command any premium on the estate market and that stem isn't helping it.

I liken him to Peder and the Neerups. They both sell/sold pipes at reasonable prices, but when you start of working for cheap, you’ll never rise up. Either you start off exclusive and expensive, or you stay cheap. Peder’s pipes will never sell at Eltang prices.
