Pipe Storage - Good Options?

Has anyone here ever used one of these sunglass organizers for pipe storage?
Curious about experience.
Want something I can easily see what I have in a collection of many rare and unsmoked pieces.

This is the first time I've seen eyeglass cases used but I think it's a great idea. Good way to keep a collection displayed and consolidated

I have one of the smaller capacity ones with a window in the lid, but haven’t decided what to put in it. I mainly use the ones with eighteen compartments. You can set them up like an easel (which is usually how I have them set up for easy access, or close up the boxes and put them away). The biggest limitation is the size of the compartments; you are basically limited to small to medium sized pipes—larger bent pipes will not really fit (see the Savinelli Capri 906 EX pipe in the lower right).

And I agree with his thoughts — works great for small to medium pipes. If you have several of them they store flat and relatively compactly. And you can open them up as an angled display case.
