Pipe Stem...Amber or Bone?

Howya Friends! Hoping someone can help. I was recently gifted with this pipe and was curious as to whether the stem is amber or bone. The pipe is stamped "Bruyere Garantie", which I know to mean "genuine briar'. With such a wealth of knowledge and experience by you all I was hoping that someone would be able to point me in the right direction

Being that color, it's either amber or bakelite. The screw in tenon appears to be bone.

Wow, that was fast! Thanks for the info. I know it's not a high quality pipe but the gift was done with a good heart and I couldn't find any helpfull info on the Internet.

i'd say bakelite but it could be amber since theres a bone screw(is it?) in there

Could be horn. I have an Alberton with a horn stem very similar to the one you have.
